Grant To Address Wayland Library Drainage Problems, Wayland Town Crier, 10/06/2013
“The town of Wayland has been awarded $268,600 in funding through the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP), which will be used to fund the Wayland Library’s Drainage Improvement Project. The grant is meant to better prepare the Wayland community to withstand natural hazard events. ‘I am happy to see the town of Wayland awarded this beneficial grant to enhance community safety,’ said State Sen. Richard J. Ross, R-Wrentham. ‘Over the years, we have witnessed the significant damage and risks brought about by natural disasters in the commonwealth. This grant will allow the town to implement necessary improvements and better prepare for future emergencies.’”
