“With storm-related cancellations rampant and authorities urging people to stay off the roads if they can, the House and Senate plan to forge ahead with their first scheduled formal sessions of 2014 on Thursday afternoon. However, a spokesman for House Speaker Robert DeLeo said the House does not plan to take any roll call votes on Thursday. . . Sen. Richard Ross made the trip to Boston from Wrentham, but said one of his colleagues, Sen. Don Humason, was traveling to the city from an even further distance, from Westfield.”
