Gaming Revenue Stablization Fund Eyed In Plainville, The Country Gazette, 01/19/2016
Former Gov. Deval Patrick gave the okay for the town to establish a gaming revenue stabilization fund during a legislative session on Jan. 7. State Sen. Richard Ross, R-Walpole [sic], and state Rep. Shawn Dooley, R-Norfolk, pushed for the governor to approve the stabilization fund. ‘The opening of Plainridge Park Casino this spring is going to bring much needed revenue and jobs to the Plainville community and creating this fund, on behalf of the town, will ensure that revenues from Plainridge are used appropriately,’ Ross said.”
