Celebrating 40 years in business, it was a privilege to visit Carpentry by Tom Antonellis and speak with Tom about the remarkable success of his longstanding small business.

After graduating Waltham Vocational High School in 1975, Tom opened Carpentry by Tom Antonellis which specializes in additions, remodeling, finish work, custom cabinets, decks, siding and much more. Located in Norfolk, previously of Wayland, and with a team of three carpenters including himself, Carpentry by Tom Antonellis is dedicated to providing quality renovations tailored to their clients’ individual specifications and needs.

In addition to his business, Tom is very active in his community, aiming to give back “whatever and wherever he can.” As an Eagle Scout, he has been largely involved in the Wayland Cub Scout Pack 88 for over a decade, Wayland Kiwanis Club, Wayland Middle School Drama Club, and Wayland and Norfolk baseball, among others. He frequently volunteers for Rebuilding Together Boston and even helped rebuild homes in the Gulf after Hurricane Katrina. In 2007, he was presented with the Unsung Hero Award from the town of Wayland for his continued selfless service in his community and across the globe.

Tom’s incredible small business remains so successful after all this time because of the passion and commitment he demonstrates each and every day to his customers and community. As an Eagle Scout, he aims to demonstrate “service and leadership” in every part of his life, and he certainly has achieved that.
